Is it possible to return professional cosmetics back to the store?
The use of good quality cosmetics, especially cosmetics for professional care, usually brings a lot of positive emotions to a woman.
Therefore, before you buy cosmetics, the first thing you need to consult a specialist - a doctor beautician. Minimal knowledge is necessary when choosing the means, first of all you need to know your skin type and navigate what is best for your skin type, what result you want to achieve and what problem to solve?
If you buy cosmetics "blind" as they say "on abum" without having the slightest idea about the type of skin, then this, if not harmful, then at best will not give the desired result. And in this case, neither the manufacturer nor the seller is responsible for the wrong choice of the means by the buyer and cosmetics are not subject to exchange or return.
Also, in accordance with the Ukrainian legislation (the Law of Ukraine “About the rights of workers”), almost any non-food goods of good quality can be exchanged (or, in some cases, returned to the seller with monetary compensation) within 14 days from the moment of purchase if observed The following conditions:
- preserved trademarks, seals, labels;
- consumer properties of the goods were not affected;
- the goods are not used by the buyer;
- the buyer has settlement documents confirming the purchase (ex. Cash voucher)
But there is a list of goods that can not be returned.
In addition to the aforementioned Law, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 172 (dated March 19, 1994) is valid with an approved list of goods of good quality that cannot be returned to the store! In this list: toothbrushes, down pillows, drugs and medicines, as well as perfumes and cosmetics.
This means that professional cosmetics of good quality, in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, are not refundable. A seller is responsible for the quality of products and must have certificates of conformity for perfumes and cosmetics.
Is there any logic in the legal ban on the return of cosmetics?
In the opinion of specialists, such a ban is completely justified and aimed, first of all, at ensuring the safety of the consumer of cosmetics. Therefore, if the seller of cosmetics in their advertising texts and promotions declares that he accepts the return of a good quality product that does not fit for some reason, think about the safety of buying cosmetic products in such a store! After all, the goods you buy may have already been returned. And maybe not even once!
